# Cart changes id

When we are adding an item to the cart (standard litium 8 code) through postman (and in the request sending having the necessary requestcontext paramaters (channel/page) together with a verificationtoken)  
After the AddOrUpdateAsync has executed we get a new CartId when we building the cart context?  
When using the CartController as a standalone Api endpoint, what is required in the request?
