# Remove mandatory from existing property?

Hi!

How do I remove the mandatory option from a property?  
I have set manadatory = false in code, unchecked the checkbox in backoffice but nothing seems to work. Maybe it is not possible?

if the property is already created you need to make it to be recreated to apply the changes.  
If I remeber it correct I needed to modify the ItemJson for the current property in Common.Setting table in the db.
