The free shipment discount doesn’t support anything other then the direct shipment app.
It is tested and the discount information is clear: “If the shipping fee is set by another system (ie a TMS) you need to setup the free delivery discount in that system.”
is there any thoughts out there how to implement discount feature to enable free shipping when using other custom shipment apps or the new nshift app?
We need some simple logic for the calculations of the delivery cost and method in some project so we have created a custom shipment app. The problem is now that we realize that the free shipping discount doesn’t work with it. it is possible to select the delivery methods but it is not possible to apply the campaign code in the checkout.
We want to be able to use Litium campaigns and their rules to apply the discount but if it is not possible for Litium to apply the discount amount we need it to somehow pass the information that the camping is applied to the custom shipment app.
We perhaps could have implemented something in the checkout to calculated a shipment fee and keep using direct shipment app but the this makes custom shipment apps a bit obsolete.
