How is this meta tag configured i litium 7 accelerator?
From what i can find this i controlled by a setting on every page that is deafult no = no index and no = follow. isnt there a ways of changing the default to yes for pages or to inherit from a parent page?

You are setting that on the SEO-tab for each page.
Please, write below how you should want it to work and I will take it forward as a feature request.
Im no SEO expert so i dont know if it is good practice to force someone to actively decide if a page should be indexed or not but in general it is usually good if you can select if something should be inherited from a parent if you dont want to set a setting on all pages.
My suggestion is to change from true/false to option field true/false/inherit where inherit is default and results in setting inherited from parents.
