After upgrading from L5 to L6 I get the following error when trying to view some products in BO:
I did some digging and the exception seems to be thrown when Litium tries to handle a validation error by writing info to the response header.
Is this a known bug?

@malin.oborn can you try to update the same product from code and catch the validation exception there to see what it is saying to easier understand why it happen?
@patric.forsgard No validation exception is thrown when updating from code. Currently experimenting with removing one field at a time from the variant (from code) to see if I can find the field that is causing this.
Yesterday we released an pre-release of 6.2.2-patch-1809301256 with some fixes for loading upgraded data from 4.8 version. Can you test with this pre-release to see if that is solving your problem?

Release date not set yet but soon enough 
Any updates on the release date? We’re planning on going live with the upgraded site soon but would rather do it with an official, non pre-release version of the platform.
