Change default sort order for products in category?

Hi!

Is there a setting in BackOffice to change the default sort order for product category pages? (E.g. switch from Popular to Recommended?)

No not in B.O but you can do it in Accelerator code if you want.
Also in B.O you can create a boolean field e.g SortByPopular and the code can check that before sorting.
