How to control "recommended" sort-order on products

Hi Volks

The Default sort arrange function, implemented on the accelerator since some versions ago have several options. Most of them natural to understand (price order, alfabetic order…)

But. As I understand the “popular” is based on the registered purchase on the site (eg. submitted order). Is that true?

Recommended - I have no ide and do not see a pattern and don’t find in kc any leads to the answer. Happy to get the logic behind this!?

Is there a way, from Litium studio (back end) to manually rank a product, and then apply a sortOrderAttribute to take this attribut as input (and then present in sorted manner based on the “manually ranking number” (or similar approach)

  1. Yes.
  2. Someone else maybe can answer that.
  3. You can create a field that you can base your condition on when sorting the products and that overwrites the recommended logic in sorting or create a whole new condition in the list.

Recommended is using the sorting that product has in the category so if the products is changed in order on the selected category and tab products
