Possible to change the standard view in BackOffice to BaseProduct

Is it possible to change the standard view in BackOffice to BaseProduct instead of Variant. One of our clients is very BaseProduct dominant and it would make backoffice a lot more user friendly if they could have BaseProduct selected by default.
Is it possible?

It’s not possible to change. If you search, you’re always taken to the Variants tab. For other uses, like viewing a smart list, the last used option is remembered.
