This might be related to Media mapper behavior, but I’m not sure.
When importing images matching the article name we get the same behavior as described in the link, but when mapping images with a suffix the old (suffixed) image is kept.
For example we import an image named 12345_1.jpg, image gets mapped to article 12345. Import a new image with the same filename, 12345_1, and it gets imported as well. Nothing gets overwritten (which is the same bug as in the link I guess), but the image on the product page (in back office -> products) does not change.The image does show up in the ArticleFiles, so that part seems to be working.
