The inventory warehouse says “We can only deliver 2 of 3 items in the order”
Customer service asks the customer if 2 is Okay (It is in this case)
Litium changes the order
No, we can’t tell the Inventory warehouse to have correct stock.
Now Klarna will think that 3 items are ordered but only 2 will be delivered.
No part deliverys will be made from the inventory wearhouse.
How do we solve the issue with the missmatch between Klarna and Litium after the order is placed?
Can we update the reserved order in Klarna from Litium? Or can we use part delivery but cancel 1 of the deliveries?
It is bit tricky to handle a partial cancellation, because the payment providers, including Klarna do only allow to cancel the remaining amount.
As at now, clear way to handle it is as follows:
Do NOT change the order.
Make a full charge of the order.
Process a return order, for the items that could not be delivered.
Customer service should explain that to the end customer, “the amount for the items that we cannot deliver will be refunded”. So customer is not confused.
